Hello Ms. Jae, Andrew is correct.... Normally the entire bail process takes anywhere from 6-12 hours but our agency is really good at making bail in 8 hours or less. When you get arrested in San Diego County the jail takes your fingerprints during booking and sends them to Sacramento and back down to check for any wants and warrants that may be out in Defendant's name. Once the jail has done their due diligence in making sure they're not releasing a wanted felon, they then make the Defendant eligible for bail and the Bail Bondsman retained on record is then notified that they can now legally post the bond so that the defendant can be released.
