Sunday morning .. 3am get a call from my nephew .. he’s been arrested for DUI. Don’t know anything other than that. At Abel's Bail Bonds we make the bail process is simple. When someone is arrested they are given a specific bail amount by the court that correlates with their arrest charges. In order for a defendant to bail out of jail the full amount must be given to the jail to ensure the defendant will return to court on their specified court dates. The court then holds this money until the case is over. For most families the bail amount set by the courts is not affordable. At Abel's Bail Bonds we are able to assist by posting the full bail amount on behalf of the defendant in exchange for a one time, nonrefundable fee. Once the case is over and the defendant has satisfied all of their court obligations the case is exonerated and the money we gave the court is returned to us.
