Oh, hold on. Has she ever had a parrot before? Can she spend lots of time with it? And you need to take your mom into the store to see if she and the bird are right for each other. Parrots are fairly expensive. But cockatiels and parakeets are fairly priced. Parrots and parakeets are social animals and love to be with people. So if you guys cannot spend time with the bird and don't want him in your living room, it might not be such a good idea. But work Birdsmart is a very good place to buy a bird.
