Check small dog availability at all of them, if you have other pets take them with you when checking out all possible new dog to adopt. Make sure they get along. I took my tortoise and I was very glad I did. The first dog we looked at wanted to bite at her. So compatibility is important. Keep looking till you find the right new pet. You will know the right one almost instantly. You can usually request an over night event to make sure. Good luck and enjoy your new family addition. Much love to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby. There are several rescue groups in Santa Cruz. The County Shelter on 7th Street, the SPCA on Chanticleer, SCAR rescue group, Peace of Mind and AFRP all have wonderful dogs needing homes. You can go to their websites and see their available dogs. Thank you for opening your heart to a rescue.
