Typically they have you do a trial adoption so you can see how they interact with your home and other pets/kids etc. Yes, they do let you see animals, pet them, bring treats, and walk them. I would also check other local shelters and rescues there really are so many adoptable pets out there. I just adopted from Benton COUNTY animal control and they are the most amazing, honest and compassionate people. :) good luck.
Yes they do allow you to see the animals and adoption is available but if you have other pets at home ie dogs cats i would advise you bring them with you or call in advance to see what else they might need from you
