No. You will not see a lot but there should be a few there. There are a lot more in the colder months when they come for the warmer waters. My wife and I went in July and got to swim with a mother and young one which was really cool. That said, the two of them weren't very interested in us (although they didn't swim away or get frightened). In the winter months when there are lots of them, several may actually swim up to you and want to be petted and rubbed on. Either way, you won't be disappointed. PS: as a side note, bring a bag of peanuts to drop off at monkey island for the residents there.
Snorkel with the Manatees in Homosassa has a few amazing locations they take you to.. Ask for Captain Laci or Captain Gene and they will help you out. The weather is Warming up so the Manatees aren't packed in But that makes for a more personal tour and Interaction with particular Manatees.
