As the other contributors said, JoAnn has catalogs to browse photos of the patterns' final products, and many patterns at hand to flip through, such as McCall's, Simplicity, Butterick, Vogue, etc., often with sales and coupons available.
The store doesn't respond to questions here. Google places is more for neighbors and such. BUT I do know they carry patterns. They have the books which you can sit and look through, and when you've picked out which you'd like to buy, it will direct you to the proper drawer and space where they're stored.
