Any chance of seeing a gator or large shark out there? Never kayaked before and looked like a nice place to try out.

The park is salt water so there wouldn't be gators. Sharks are a possibility but pretty rare. Big snook, dolphins, and birds abound...

Very good place for kayaking!🤩👍 We kayaked there few times and didn't see any sharks or gators! Just one little snake and million cute crabs🤗

No Gators..you need to go to Myakka State Park for that.. I've kayaked, paddle board and hiked preserve in the preserve and gulf side...no sharks I have seen but dolphins

Possible for shark outside park in river , but less for gator. Br ready its hige miles of trailes and prolly 2 miles of water to kayak thru. I love that presevre esp bc the size <3
