Just a general question. I was able to get parts on 3 local films through another agency with no profile. I've been a member of BC for over a year and not 1 phone call, even needing extras when filming in my town. Nothing. Why do you think that is?

Not an easy question to answer. I am on agency pro and have gone months with nothing then two hits in the same week. I am 100 percent Italian but have yet to get a part in the movies shot in the north end specifically looking for Italians. Multiple agencies helps and probably those classes do also. Just have to keep plugging away. I am sure an agent would help too not something I myself habe done.

Hi Carolyn, Think its all in who you know and making your preference know especially in this industry. If acting is a passion of yours, try to sign up for their classes and workshops. Get to know the casting directors and set up a high quality photo of yourself to market yourself out there. Sign up for their email when they are looking for a specific type of character in their films. Also submit to other agencies as well, not just here in Massachusetts. Good luck!
