Do any vets see a councelor or doctor here they recommend? My husband would like to take a vigorous and non medicine approach to his mental health. His current doc and councelor do not understand this at this facility.

I never had an issue with my treating Docs..

My husband goes to the VA mental health and they will sit and listen to you and come up with a plan it's up to you if you follow through with or not. They will be there for you.

It sounds like he was advised to take medication and that's not what he wanted. I go to the VA. They are of the philosophy that they can't force you to do anything. There's no such thing as vigorous help, they give you treatment plans and it's up to the patient to follow them. And speaking from experience, medication is worth a shot.
