Silver sneakers is included over 50 for disabled on medicare.
It's Silver Sneakers, and it's free with Medicare at 65 years of age and over. A person can go to over 30,000 health clubs for free as it's a Medicare program. You won't get it on SSDI, only on retirement Social Security with Medicare. We joined the YMCA on hwy 486 for free. We are over 65. It's a senior perk or benefit. You get other benefits later on as well. I don't know of meetings, but you can use the health club from morning till closing. You get use of exercise equipment, pool, bicycle classes to burn fat or to exercise with class. There's also a workout room for I think Zumba classes too, I could be wrong. There are two Olympic sized pools, because the local highschool swim team uses the pool on Thursday nights. That pool is inside the building. The other pool is outside. You get all the benefits that a non Medicare member gets with Silver Sneakers. A regular Y membership is $40/month. I hope this helps some.
