We are lap swimmers, and just love the pool here! Clean, great staff and plenty of lanes. Just check the daily schedule, as the pool is full in the afternoons Monday through Friday when local swim teams use it for practice. We are very grateful the Y included this pool when the facility was built a few years ago. Love this Y!

It’s not fun to stay at this YMCA. Rude staff…from the office down to the teen life guards at the pool. Constant excuses as to why events are cancelled and facilities unavailable. They won’t update the website regarding cancelled events and activities out of fear more folks won’t join. Thanks for the constant wasted trips to your facility. Young man, take a walk up a different street. This is the worst YMCA I’ve ever visited.

Beautiful clean facility with lots of fitness opportunities. I have attended silver sneakers, chair yoga, and line dancing. The classes are great. My only complaint is that it is not a welcoming atmosphere. It's hard to be new here. I ask a lot of questions to try and get involved. There are some odd rules that no one tells you until you break them. Ex. You are not supposed to sit on chairs unless you first cover them with a towel.

Went there on a guest pass the other day. Seems to be clean and nice staff. Really thinking of joining

It could be very little and up to $50 or so. They do have financial assistance to those who qualify.
They have financial assistance for those who qualify. Also they honor Silver Sneakers. Could be included with your health insurance. Otherwise it could be $40 or so a month.
You don't pay if you are a Silver Sneakers member. To get the SS membership you have to be on full retirement collecting Medicare. It's ONLY for retired Medicare not for SSDI Medicare. You get an all free membership. Swimming is included, as is the full gym, treadmill, recumbent bike, straight up bikes, and all other equipment. Some of the treadmills include Spectrum TV stations which are also. Free. With your membership you get a 3-free day trainor or you can pay for extra days. Lots of other rooms for biker groups in class, Zumba, aqua-aerobics. Pool table. Free coffee, locker rooms, don't forget your lock. Outside swimming pools. Two pools. One completely outside & the other partially outside. Bring towels to lie on & smaller towels to sit on, on the equipment. The Y supplies Wet Ones to clean the equipment after you use it.
They sometimes offer free swimming lessons to members. Not sure when the next class is scheduled but my kids 3, 4 and 6 all did started one this morning.
The Y is closed for Easter.
The pool is heated and indoor with a roof that opens, it's 6.3 feet at it's deepest point and they do offer water aerobics
No, there are members and guests from all over.
🙄
I noticed 8-9am was more quiet than 10-12. I'd say the earlier the better.
Yes you can get a free 1 day pass if you have never been before.

Go to ymcasuncoast.org, click on about us, click on volunteer and follow the instructions. Minors may volunteer. Age 14 is the cut off. You will need to provide references. When you finish filling out the online form, it will tell you what the next steps are. The process takes several weeks. If you call, they will simply give you the same info I just gave you.
Straight from the source, the outdoor pools open when the water temperature reaches 75 degrees.
They prefer that dogs do not walk on the outside walking/fitness track unless it is a service dog, and any excrement is bagged and carried off the property. People run on the track and can't always watch the ground.
