Why are the phone answered by an auto attendant after hours with the ability to leave a message for pretty much all departments and specifically for the service advisors voice mails? These abilities from phone systems is been available since the 90's

There is an option to speak to a representative with their answering service after hours- if you do not want to use the automated voicemail system.
