Went with a friend to their Valentine's day party. They are doing wonderful things here. My friend is blind & has learned so much. I'm so proud of her. Way to go Patπ

Great place for people to get there independence back. They taught my family member how to use the transit system and cooking tips to assist with their visual impairment. Keep up the good work!

Great staff to work with. We have had the pleasure of their services for 4 + years for our son. They have a fabulous program for visually impaired kids teaching them independence and life skills. They teach them everything from basic dressing, cooking and shopping skills to life event skills such as interviewing, job ecperience, transportation and expenses. Plus, they frequently have social outings.

Hello, Please call 813-251-2407, we will be happy to assist you with the process to receive services. If needed, please leave a message with your name and phone number and we will call you back. We assist any potential client with the online application for Division of Blind Services which is required for receiving services from us. While we don't need a referral from a doctor, we do need to verify that the potential client has a visual impairment that affects in both eyes and that affects one's daily functioning. We can request this information from their eye doctor with a signed release form. We will walk you through these steps and this process! Once all information is gathered, our Case Manager will contact the client to get them started with services! We look forward to talking with you soon.
I'm not sure if they do but they are a great resource. Also, try 211, they have all the local resources that are available in the community. Good luck!
You can call Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind at (813) 251-2407. Have you seen an ophthalmologist to have your eyes checked recently? We have an Orientation & Mobility Specialist that can help you to learn the proper techniques to use a cane correctly and safely.
I wouldn't know the answer to that but if you give them a call talk to Cheryl the director
