Thank you David Jones & CDC Tampa for Assisting the Youth of Tampa Housing Authority prepare for their Job Fair. David Jones partnered with the Job Developer (Shonta Abdullah), by coordinating schedules to measure the male youth 16-24, that they may receive Interview Attire or Suits to Show Up and present during the Reverse Job Fair May 13, 2021. Thank You Lafe Thomas! Miss. Thomas attended the Job Fair representing the CDC of Tampa, the attending Youth 16 -24 Rated Miss. Thomas "The Most Memorable & Positive Guest" for the event. Miss. Thomas's presence and guidance added value to the day and she provided a Job Lead to a Youth Participant, that has lead to a Fulltime position as a Medical Receptionist. As the Job Developer for The Tampa Housing Authority, my working partnership with the staff of the CDC Tampa is one that is Valued and I'm looking forward to serving the community toward stability by empowering them with training and employment opportunities. ~ Shonta Abdullah

This is the most unprofessional place! Every one who works here Voice Mails are full . Every last one you who work here including the director go through your voice Mails and clear then out ! Very unprofessional! COVID 19 is not an excuse nor is volunteering!

CDC of Tampa will lure you in with their downpayment assistant plan of 15k and even up to 30k. Which I think is great help.....but their process seems to be backwards. Instead of a pre-qualification filter they make you go through 2 classes which in our case was 2 months of wasted time and 35$ to tell you that you don't qualify for the downpayment assistant program. On our last appointment I asked the same question as I did on our first class. "I own a home which I bought when I was single and now that I am married do we qualify for the first time home buyer assistant program" and their answer was YES ! Do come in and take our class. 2 months later of wasted time we were unable to qualify for the program because I already own a home before I was married even though my wife was a first time home buyer. Do everyone a favor and be more specific on what circumstances make couples or first time home buyers eligible for this program don't make them wait and sit through all the process to tell them no, a no that could of been said at first and saved us of this wasted time and money.
