I strongly suggest that you take a picture of him with you to the front counter of this facility and ask whoever is there if they have seen him or post fliers with his photo and all his information on stop signs and on the doors of veterinary clinics in the area. Another option would be to visit other shelters to see if they have him there. Pray to god for guidance.
If the microchip is registered with current contact information, the shelter will call you when he comes in. You can bring a lost poster to them anytime. There is always someone there to receive these posters. Just ring the bell. If you don't have one, they have blank ones you can fill out and attach a picture. It's good he's chipped. I wish you the best of luck. It's also good to check with mail carriers, kids in the street and meter readers (gas, power, and water)
