Depends where you come in at. 15 + 138 has some steep climbs and some sharp turns. Yes road construction is going on to straighten it out a bit. If coming from Hespria via Summit Valley Rd. Then will have a less steep climb, and less sharp turns. Meets 138 at Country Store/gas station. If coming via 173, there are some sharp turns, but not bad from Hespria Lakes to Mojave Forks campground. Gets a little bit sharp on two turns, go slow and really no problems just more curves to 138. Should be wide enough and fine, meets 138. My travel trailer is 28'8" on box, 32'6" bumper to hitch. Campsites are just long enough for trailer and space is usually wide enough for side by side parking. If you want to see the camp sites, go to my picture if you want to see mid-day shade for RV sites. Full hook-ups at all RV sites.Power, water, Drain/Dump. Some restrooms where renovated about a year ago. Showers need quaters. And they have a dump station in case no using site with hook-ups.
The new road is wide open from 15 freeway it's like driving down the freeway itself but only thing is that leads to Lake Silverwood it's wide open you could pull the Queen Mary in there now be sure and stop at the summit valley store and get your bait in any other tackle you might need to catch the stripers trouts bass catfish have fun happy camping
The road is decent.
Mostly flat. The road is currently being worked on making it more straight, since the current turns are pretty tight.
I took my RV no problem. Road are pretty good not bad at all. You should be fine
