Actually there is no specific cry room. What most people in this post are calling a cry room is in fact the day chapel. Because of its location and glass front to see into the main sanctuary people incorrectly think it a cry room. By architectural rubrics and design Catholic churches are not required to have a cry room. When HNM church was built more than 10 years ago, a such a room was not considered because children of all ages are welcome in the main sanctuary at any time. If a child cries during service then one would simply exit momentarily and then return. Our Lord in Luke and Matthew said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." So, during Sunday masses people use the day chapel as a cry room and as overflow. But it is NOT a cry room. All are welcome always!
