Yes, there are rattlesnakes up there. They are not just out early in the morning. If it's hot, you can see them anytime of the day. Also you can encounter poison oak. I've seen areas that are full of it. There are coyotes and moutain lions that inhabit these canyons, so be careful, always be aware, and don't take a blue tooth speaker. You might not be able to hear the rattling or suspicious noises.
Yes, all of the trails in the hills have rattlesnakes, scorpions, ticks, spiders and poison oak. Visit our website for Trail Tips for more info. If you stay on the trails and keep your eyes open, you reduce your chances of encountering them. If you see a snake, stand back and let them slither off the trail on their own. Walk in the middle of the trail when you can to avoid creatures that may be on the edge of the trails like snakes and ticks - as well as poison oak. Check yourself for ticks after each hike. This is a nature preserve:)
Yes. Stay on trail.
Rattlesnakes and coyotes can be found. Plants are safe, no poison ivy or anything that ive seen.
Alright then. Gotta be careful because whenever you hear that rattling noise (which these snakes are very infamous for), they're warning you to STAY AWAY FROM THEM. ✋😐
