The reserve is stating it's closed due to erosion and repair. They initially closed it in the Spring after the Covid-19 outbreak. It has remained closed ever since. There has been no set date as to when it will reopen. Turnbull Trailhead is open and is about 1 mile away. Turnbull leads to the same trails as Hellman Park.
