Do you have to hike it or ride the bike to get to this campsite or can we take vehicles

Hike or bike. No vehicles If you park on highway 2 (next to power station) it's one mile down hill. If you park in Altadena (behind JPL) it's 2.5 miles slight inclune

I concur with Jose. Be aware that the road from highway 2 is quite steep in places. It can be a rough hike back out if it's hot or if you have much gear. I personally prefer coming in from JPL.

As a follow up to Jose, that is correct, but the "road" aka the trail to the camp is very steep and in bad condition.
