There is NO reason to have a wolf unless you are a sanctuary. Please go adopt a husky or a malamute, there are tons that need homes.... More and more counties and states are going after wolf dogs so please do not get one. ~ Danna, Wolf Mountain Sanctuary
All of the wolves that are in the sanctuary are from people who acquired wolves as pets. Wolves are not domestic animals. They are illegal to keep as pets, dangerous to have as pets, and it is harmful to the wolf to be kept as a pet.
I jad a wolf/hybrid for 14 years. Even though she was part wolf, you really have to be a dedicated owner. As a pup. She was womderful. As she got older. Her mischief and wolf began too show, not in a bad way. Justbin behavior. She would literally jump a six foot fence and get out. She dug a den. And crawled out under the fence, im talking like a 6foot deep hole to get out. We then only took her for walks and play outside and she became an indoor pet for the most part, until we moved on a farm. Where she had acres to roam. You can get a wolf, however. It is a committment to raising them. Theyre the ALFA dog, both male and female if you have other dogs in the household. They will make you and your family part of the pack. And be very protective of you. Others, not so.much. They can sense fear, or bad intentions, before a person(s) even arrives. They're lovely animals. Just cankot stress enough, the amount pf dedication it takes in owning one.
From what they inform on. Not easy at all
Pretty hard
