Exit road is 4x4 only. Do not take a trailer up it. Long way to back up.

Two covered picnic tables and two vaulted toilets with trash bins is all you get. It's a staging area with ample room for toy haulers and RV's. Dry camping so bring water and easy-up

You must have a 4x4 to get there? Can you only with the ATV

4x4 not required to get to the staging area. Simple dirt road. Seems long but you'll make it to the staging area.

How's the drive to this place from Ontario? Is it single line? Because I get stressed driving at high elevations such as Lake Arrowhead. Thanks in advance for your attention to this question.

It's not bad. Once you get through Big Bear going down the 18 is pretty quick.

Can you just turn up with a highway 4x4 and drive off-road ?

Yes and there are free maps at the kiosk of all the OHV trails. Have fun and be safe!

Only if the quads are Green Sticker. Red Sticker riding season ended on April 30th.

My green sticker expired last year, haven't had the time to renew it, my bike is a spark arrested 125, would I get a ticket for riding here

How big of a ticket ar talking Mike?

I see there are two entrances, cactus rd and Smarts Ranch Rd which appears to be a longer drive to the staging area, is the shorter entrance (Cactus Rd) pretty sketchy drive? I have a 4x4 but will be driving up with my kid and dont want to risk it.
