If someone needs to surrender a pet how much is it and do they require proof if you had just gotten a puppy and can’t afford it. (Not me someone on fb)

Usually owner surrenders are $55, currently the shelter is over capacity so I would definitely call in they may make an exception for a puppy, I don't know.
