It was our first time adopting and we had a great experience! Friendly and helpful. We ended up coming home with two kittens instead of one. They are super sweet and we love them so much! Thank you!

No a literal honey and I get into the weekend take us. An email yesterday evening and had a response within a few hours. I am so grateful for the staff here. They took wonderful care of the pups. Please please come see them. Check in was easy affordable.

I am so grateful to the staff for getting me an appointment and treating my pup. I really appreciated the advice I received. It was honest and didn't make them more $$$ like some vets tend to push. My 18 year old Pomeranian went from barely standing to back to his feisty self in a few days and I'm so glad I get to spend more time with him.

I’m very pleased with the support, knowledge, communication and care that the clinical staff provides to the public. They answer your emails and That show’s they care. It’s worth your time and money to support their organization and have your pet/s be seen here. Thank you for answering my questions I had about Daisy’s after surgery care. That means a lot. You all deserve more than a 5 star ⭐️ and I’ll definitely be obtaining your services. Thank you again.

Yes they do.
Frankie's Friends; call Blue Pearl Vet Emergency on Quivera for more info
Prayers for your family and fur baby
yes
He passed away peacefully at home in his bed. I miss my big boy.
My dog was under 50 lbs and it cost me $95.
Hi Gwenyth! We would love some cat sweaters! Thank you so much!
Yes allways looking for new people
Hello Tabatha, we are currently on an intake freeze. We would recommend contacting animal control (they are no-kill and will find her a new home). You can also contact some of the other rescues in the area.
I have 2 dogs
I know it's not, but I have found this to be a very good place to take our dogs. Because of this, they tend to be very busy and may not be able to answer each phone call, but I find that if you leave a message, they call you back promptly. Sorry, I hope this helps!
Go ask for sure but i believe 15$ and no appointment needed
If under 18 you cant be in with dogs but with an adult approval you can work with cats and helping around the shelter
Yes it helps us take in more homless animals when amazing people foster tell we find them homes
I took my chiawau there, she had a lump under her chin, she thinks she's a BIG DOG!! And they were getting ready to close @ 2:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon and the Vet looked @ her and said bring her on back! Gave her antibiotics and pulled the stuff out with syringe yucky! I WAS so excited to be there, I thought the lump was cancer?? I vote #1 Love the place. Very clean!!! Spay and neuter @ 59th and troost is where I took her for Shots and spayed They go by your income! How are you Kathy? God bless you and your family. I didn't know about Humane society when I took her to 59th and troost.
It is less than $100 and has nothing to do with age or size. The shots are the same for all cats, the cost to spay is the same for ll females and the cost to neuter is the same for all males. This is the most reasonably priced place you will find anywhere.
I'd ask your vet about that!! Doesn't sound like anything I've heard of doing before. Or look online, or call the Humane Society.
Yes but they are so busy you may wait several hours or be turned away. Its best to schedule an appt.
it's a non kill shelter
Hi Allyssia, attached is the link to our surrender form. Once you fill that out a member of our canine staff will reach out to you. https://hsgkc.org/services/pet-surrender/
Yes they do, please call them at 913-596-1000 to speak with them about humane euthanasia.
No
Yes they start checking pets in at 8am
If you found a puppy you need to contact Animal Control' or a shelter like Wayside. Humane Society will not accept a drop off of a puppy without knowing more of the situation ahead of time.
I don't know about cremation there, but you can call Heritage veterinarian Hospital. If they don't offer it there, they can point you in the right direction. Probably even give you phone numbers. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost mine in 2016, & I paid $300.00 for her ashes then. Just an idea on pricing. Best of luck to you.
No they don't you would have to go to blue pearl and sign up for care credit it's helps so you can make payments if you need it
Hello Erica, we do not. We only have cats & dogs.
Hello Nenita, we're so sorry that your friend has to make this tough choice. Our euthanasia prices vary depending on the weight of the dog. If you call us at 913-596-1000 we can give you a better estimate.
Hi Lesa, unfortunety at this time we are over capacity and unable to take in any cats or dogs. If you want to call us at 913-596-1000 we can provide you with resources of other shelters/rescues around the area that may be able to help you. We hope to be able to open up intakes soon but at this tie we just don't have the space for any more.
Call them i am sure They have a solution
My puppy has been moping around lately and his fesses is completely liquid
They are a low cost facility if you live in WyCo. I'd call too. May depend on age/weight.
I don't work there, but yes they do & it's based on income. If you need more help, they have a program that will also help. Just ask them if they have the program that helps & they are very good about helping you with the paperwork. It's 1-2 pages. I hope this is helpful.
Hi Shirley, thnak you for your interestin HSGKC! You can find our adoptable dogs and cats by visiting HSGKC.ORG. If you don't see what you're looking for we recommend filling out an adoption survey either way that way we can contact you if we get in a pet that matches what you're looking for!
No they just do spayed or nuture and wellness checks
Hello Rutuja, we do not have any birds available just cats and dogs!
Yes you will need appointment.
A rescue place on Johnson Dr.
You will need to ask them, but I think they do. Animal must be spayed or neurtered.
Kittens for adoption. Senior cats adopted by a Senior citizen are free. Lots of cats and kittens to choose from and all have been vaccinated and "fixed".
Yes they do but you have to call and make an appointment and the pet must be up to date on shots.
I'm not sure how the dog got there or what time the dog got there but they have a number if she dropped the dog off there they should answer the phone my dog went through some treatments there and I was able to get a hold of the people you might try blue Pearl they do have emergency numbers that they leave on their recording for after-hour emergency care so you might try that good luck try them in the morning

Yes, there are fees that cover the cost of spay and neutering, microchip, shots and any other vet services rendered for the pet. I don't recall standard fees but they do run specials. Call them to ask about the rates and ways you can follow them to find out about the specials. Good luck with your search for a new pet.
I'm praying for this kitten!!
They will Definetaly help you at humane society of greater kansas. They have been known to do payment plans!
If you found homes. Go ahead and rehome the ones you can. Theybwill accept kittens if not overcrowded. Have seen drop offs so try and see
Beak and wings in Lenexa
Yes
Here's the website. I'm sure it can help you out for these questions. hsgkc.org
https://m.facebook.com/kcpigrescuenetwork/
I am unsure about walk-ins because I always make an appointment . . . If you call them I am sure they will be very helpful and understanding . . .
They do have dogs for adoption
I'm sure the kitten would need to be seen to know the cost. Calling them may be your best option
It is definitely first come, first serve for walk ins. You get there at 7:45, you wait the 15 mins in your car and when they open you can walk in and they can usually see you. I've done it many times. The walks in are often scheduled for later in the day so you can leave the dog in the car and just run to get in the door. 😁
Not sure. They do have clinics for severely discounted vaccines. 25 for all feline and 35 canine 40 if want chipped. They do give huge discounts and they do go according to income with EBT,disability or social security papers. Call and talk to first. Explain situation to see how can help.
Not that I have ever heard of ? ? ?
You can try to take them to greater kansas humane society they may take them.
They are classified as dogs they can be registered through animal control as one as long as they are up to date on shots and taken care of but if the yard is that bad do they have shelter you can contact the city about that
Call 311if you live in Kansas City KS. They can advise you.
I feed a few ferel cats as well I notice that they do not come out to eat like they normally do when its this bad out. Last snow storm they did the same thing. I worried about them and their well being but they came back around after a couple days. God bless your kitty 🐱
Are you looking for someone to fix a gate or looking to call about a loose dog?
They are really great sympathetic people who will explain everthing and stay with you they offer cremation and paw print memorial for you to keep
You can call Chain of hope or another dog rescue. I called chain of hope for a similar issue and they went out of the way to help me. Can you feed this dog?? They asked me to keep the dog fed so that it would survive. They are not all that close to us so it took a day or so for them to make it out to help. Another rescue shelter I called was more than willing to take the dog in if I could catch it and bring it in. Unfortunately I couldn't catch it. I'm praying for this sweet animal.
I agree with Calico Kitten, this could lead to serious infection that could be life threatening. You should really have your sweet animal seen as soon as possible. I've taken my pet to the mission emergency vet clinic and they have done an amazing job saving my pet due to it being after hours when the humane society was not open for my pet to receive treatment. The humane society is great but they are only open 8-5 through out the week. Sometimes it is hard to get in to have your pet seen, you would need to be there when the doors open to secure a appointment that day although they are amazing as well and they do have reasonable prices for procedures.
Kck human society has a great groomer by appointment only unless an emergency you must go in and get her number
Try Wayside Waits or Animal Haven.
https://plattewoodsanimalhospital.net
You are welcome to bring hem in the vet will at least look at hem if needed and they can help you find a place for hem if there's no room there
You can bring them in if they cant keep them they will help you find someone who can
Only on the first Saturday of every month.
The Humane society should be able to give a discount. You may call during business hours to double check but i know someone who got a discount due to being on disability.
Only if you're on Disability they will offer a Discount... I don't remember how much my Discount was but it was a significant amount that I Saved!!! Unsure about first time Puppy Shots... They offer a Discount for living in Wyandotte County for Spayed and Neutered... And, if you're interested in Microchipping... It's ONLY $20!!! I hope that this helped you, Krsna.
Call them
Come in today and check if they have any openings
Come in and talk to them
For there safety we like them to be in a kennel but if the will let you hold them and stay calm they will be fine we have cardboard kennel you can buy if needed but we will not turn you away because of that
Maybe call animal service or the non emergency police number
They do not declaw cats.
Come in now they are having there low cost sat
Yes and no you can bring them in and they can help call the right people
Yes you never know what your going to see come in
When Bandit was 10-12 weeks old I took him into the Humane Society and it only cost me $45 for shots and check up. I'm not sure if they have a payment plan you can get on but I believe they're the cheapest place in Kansas City and they give exceptional care.
Thank you. I thought tjat was how but always try to be positive about things like this
Just give them a call for an appointment. 596-1000
A phone call would work better. I doubt they check this for appointment cancellations.
Yes you have to fill out an application that can be found on their website and they will call you in and allow you to visit with the pets
It depends, kittens are $105, cats over a year old $45.
Most places can't/don't turn pets away if you have a drs letter stating that they're therapeutic for you or your family
Yes
I believe they do if they have the boarding room to house them. Their website has some information on receiving pets
I believe so!!! I'd just call and ask before making the drive. Tell them your situation. 596-1000
