I’ve lived here 10 years and they have never helped the few times I’ve had to call. Whether it’s a stray dog, dead cat or the family of stray cats currently in my yard right now. They actually did return my call about the cats which was a first but they said they don’t do anything about feral cats. No one really does. Tax money needs to go into a TNR program because not everyone has the wherewithal to do it and rescues all claim to be backed up. It’s not until you have an animal problem you realize how little help there actually is and they expect you to do it yourself and for free.

These people do not care about dogs at all. They’re so rude to people who actually want their dogs too. They refused to wait 10 minutes to get the payment for my dog when I herd them being very nasty to other people on the phone about not having space. I sat outside crying while they all stayed inside another 20 minutes. Why? Why do that to people and their pets if you’re working in a shelter?

My daughter adopted her best friend in December 2021 and it’s going great!

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A young volunteer was wonderful. She found just the right coat for him to wear. We left with a great dog!

Usually owner surrenders are $55, currently the shelter is over capacity so I would definitely call in they may make an exception for a puppy, I don't know.
If they have a chip contact the adoption center or vet. They should be able to locate them.
I have a girl puppy
You need to check with wildlife I think.
They do not generally accept stray cats, however you can call them to see if they will accept it.
Yes
There are people there right now. It might be a special Sumday though.
Yes if you can get the pup away from them safely then take it to the shelter. How ever don't waste your time with animals control they will tell you that the shelter is full so take it directly to the shelter yourself
Yes on specials there 50.00 other days 85.00. I went last weekend they had 5 puppies.
If you are looking for affordable pet care services you need to try the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City in KCK. If your cat is a her, she needs to be spayed and that will cost $80. It's $70 for a male cat to be neutered. If you are in KCMO, try the Pet Resource Center.
Oh I'm sure they could probably use them and that is very nice and sweet of you
Technically illegal to bury in yard, but they don't enforce. If you want to, you can. I'm very sorry for your loss. If a big pet and you don't want to/ can't bury, most vets do cremation. But it's not free
You will need to contact them and show proof of ownership
I think it's a good idea to take pictures and send it
Yes they did
Owner surrenders are presently $55 if the shelter is not at capacity. You should call in to verify whether they will accept your dog or not.
If they are at capacity no, however it doesn't hurt to call it in.
