I have specialized dog food that doesn't agree with my dog. Can I donate it to you? It Royal Canin Hydrolyzed kibble and canned. I have two large bags of kibble and 3 cases of canned. Please advise.

The canned food can definitely be used. If the dry food isn't sealed, i would ask the staff to see if they can accept it.

Yes, you certainly can donate all the food. Just be sure to tell whoever receives it that they have nothing to be afraid of. As a general rule, this institution throws away bags of kibble or treats that have already been opened because they claim that a lot of people have used them to poison the animals on the pretext that they are donating them. If the bags haven't been opened then you have nothing to worry about, but if one of them has been opened just explain to them exactly what happened and tell them that you would never do such a cruel act.
