The recessed parking lot for Thousand Palms Oasis is not accessible by semi truck because 1. The entrance to the lot is narrow and very close to the highway and requires a very tight turn even from a passenger car 2. The lot itself is not very wide in such that even a passenger car arriving and departing can have issues. There is ample space for a semi truck and trailer to be parked for a short or medium duration approximately 100 yards away at the trailhead for Hidden Palms Oasis- this is east or south from the main entrance. I have taken a screenshot of where this is but at the moment answering this question I am not able to post the image because that ability has not been added by Google but if you search for Coachella Valley Preserve you will find a map and from there you can locate the trailhead for Hidden Palms Oasis and correspond that to a satellite view on Google Earth and you will see that there's ample space.
I would agree.
Not at the preserve itself, but possibly nearby within walking distance.
Not a lot of place available for parking on a busy day. But plenty of spots available to park on roads , you may end walking a bit though
Too small of a lot, roadside might be best option
Nope
It's a small gravel lot, so I'm guessing no, although I haven't seen any signs not to. Parking on the side of the road in something that large on a road that small might also be ill-advised.
No
You might be able to park along the road
Parking a semi & trailer is not available at site parking lot but you can park alongside the road just outside the entrance
No not alot of parking there
