Without knowing the size and other important details of your pet, I wouldn't recommend giving aspirin or any other medication for pain. Aspirin isn’t always tolerated very well by dogs (and cats) and there are much better pain relievers available from your veterinarian that are designed for use in pets. In addition, gum pain is almost always related to dental disease, which should be promptly addressed with the appropriate dental treatments. My best recommendation is for you to schedule an appointment with your vet in order to get care for your dog.
