officially. parks & trails close at Sunset. I have seem people hiking at all times of day and night. warning. coyotes hang out near the South Rinaldi entrance. Mostly scared coyotes, except when they are hunting in packs.

Signs on the entrances and exits of the trail state that the park is closed from “sunset til sunrise.” So individuals are prohibited to hike during the night. There are also signs stating that there are wildlife dangers, such as mountain lions and coyotes at these late times of the day.
