The adoption fee for a rabbit is $85 and they don't sell or recommend cages. Midwest exercise pens are a cheaper, better enclosure for rabbits and they require daily exercise outside that enclosure. Rabbits live for a decade or more, so consider where you'll be in 5 years, in 10, and in 15 and make sure you'll be in a place where you'll be equipped to take care of an emotionally high-maintenance animal that's considered "exotic" (and therefore potentially very expensive) by veterinarians. If that's not an option, guinea pigs and rats also make wonderful companions with shorter lifespans.

House rabbit network is entirely donation funded, so technically you can pay as much as youd like for the animal. The recommended amount is $85 for a rabbit, its used to cover the cost of a spay/neuter as well as housing and feeding it. Not sure about guinea pigs or cases though, sorry.

House Rabbit Network is a 501c3 specializing in rabbit education and adoption in Massachusetts. As of 10/1/2020, we ask for a fixed adoption donation of $100 for a single rabbit, $175 for a bonded pair, and $225 for a trio. The adoption donation helps to offset the spay/neuter costs for your bunny.. All of our rabbits are spayed/neutered, and are working on being litter-box trained. We only offer rabbit adoptions and do not include any type of housing or enclosure for your bunny, although we'll discuss with you what you'll need and include things like a favorite toy, if your rabbit has one. You can visit us at www.rabbitnetwork.org/adoption/policy/ to read our Adoption Policy. Thanks!

After going through the adoption application and interview they go into everything you will need in addition to the fee which is $85. They don't recommend a cage but rather an exercise pen. They also have carriers available for around $15-$20. Having a rabbit and taking care of it the right way is a bigger responsibility than most think it is.
