Last time I adopted a dog, it took a couple of hours, tops. Filled in some paperwork, talked to a person, went over my responsibilities as a pet owner and things like that. This was done in summer.
Thanks. It was so weird this time. They asked me no questions, I just filled out the very top of the application with my information from my driver's license. The dog is older, already neutered and been up for adoption for almost two weeks. I was told they would get back to me maybe next week. I adopted a kitten a couple weeks ago and it was very quick. (Maybe the back to back adoptions raised a red flag?) Oh well, I have a feeling I'll never hear back and won't know why.
