The water is very dark due to tannins. Did not observe anybody fishing. Have not seen any surface bait fish activity or birds diving for bait fish. If fish are present it will have to be using noisy, vibrating lures and cut baits.
According to experts largemouth bass, red drum and common snooker can be found in the Hillsborough River. The Riverwalk isn't the best fishing place though.
