I went to emergency and they took to quick x rays. The Dr. gave me bad advice and prescribed me OTC medication that even the pharmacist said would not work. I needed antibiotics. for 2 quick ex rays that took under 5 minutes and a useless prescription I was sent a bill for almost $5,000 !!! Why UCLA would ever associate their name with this place is crazy. They punish you for going to the Dr. I have the need to see a Dr. but I am afraid I will be gouged and not be able to pay like this visit. If I am unable resolve this matter it will affect my credit and impair my ability to be approved for purchasing a home or even renting an apartment. I deeply regret going to the Dr. This is my own personal experience and in no way advice to anyone. My message is to ask the facility for their rates and ask them to sign you up for some kind of insurance that will cover your visit. Get it in writing and hopefully you will not experience what is clearly an over billing.

Charges will vary depending on the type of service needed. If an emergency you should go directly to the Emergency Room for service, we have financial staff who will financially screen you and will be able to provide options for payment. There is also a Financial Programs Department in Room 2D151, that can provide you assistance.
