No. It is a purposeful decision by the institution. They consider cel phones and social media usage on grounds a tremendous disruption during productions; being that many visitors still have to work on their social graces and etiquette. If you are attending one of their beautiful productions the staff and ushers are very strict and direct about confronting you if you don't comply with respecting others space to enjoy the art being showcased.

They basically have a no-devices policy. Thick concrete structure around the main auditorium blocked my network access. As an audience member, I really appreciate that: no phones ringing or people texting.
