Camping is allowed? Safe?

No camping

Dogwood campground will be open the end of April thru Sept and its just a few miles away. It allows motorhomes and dry camping. There is also kellers peak in running springs, which is dry camping only. It is a little further, but open all year long

No public camping at or immediately around the Heart Rock trail.....just a nice, mild hike. There is a private camp adjacent to the trailhead, but not for the public.

I did not see any camping at Heart Rick. There is camping perhaps around that area since it is the mountains. I only saw were people parked and went for a hike. Very beautiful. And it seemed to be safe. I think the people that go there just want to have s good time. It was a very nice crowd of people.
