There are some steep parts here and there, but for the most part it is fairly easy. Plus the view up there is worth it!

I would say good shoes are a must, expect to get dusty, there are a few of the steep parts i would say will be pretty difficult for small pets, children, and older folks but nothing impossible. The views are amazing. Equal parts gravel and paved so some may be a little hard on the knees. I'd bring water knowing there are several spots to refill.
There are a couple places where toward ls the outer parts you have to climb up some rocks (difficult rating), so you need good shoes. The majority of the trail is an "Easy" With stairs.
