Hey Marvin. Coffee beans need to climb in temperature from the beginning to end of the roast. If you lose that slow, incremental upward climb, then you lose some of the chemical processes that make coffee rich, sweat and chocolatey. Best to throw out such a batch and focus more on securing a reliable electrical source. Oh... and while we're on the subject. I'm curious if you're running your unit off of a 220-volt line? If you using a 6 M model you'll need to install a buck-boost Transformer to punch that voltage up to 240 volts perhaps that may be why you're having some electrical issues

We suggest that you have a backup power supply but if you don't you can continue the roast once you have power restored. As long as you have not burned the beans you should be able to finish the roast. If it is for a commercial use you may decide to dump the beans. We have had roast interrupted for various reason and have completed the roasting process later and have had success.
