The whole process from checking my four year old in for his ultrasound to getting an ultrasound was quick and easy. The ultrasound tech truly went above and beyond for my child to put him at ease - I wish I would have caught his name! As a parent, having a stranger treat my child with such care and respect and kindness means the world to me. From walking him through each step and explaining the equipment, letting him “take an ultrasound” of his teddy bear to make the process less scary, he just did an amazing job. Who would have thought the highlight of our day would have been getting an xray of a kid’s stomach!

They were very kind and went above and beyond to help me get my MRI done.

I always dread going to any medical facility because they never seem to get you in on time yet expect you to be there on time. In every instance, you can expect to be there at least an hour to 1 1/2 hours or even more! For the first time ever, I would have to say that Kootenai Outpatient Imaging in Post Falls went far above and beyond my expectations! My doctor’s nurse called on a Tuesday afternoon and left a voicemail that I had a 7:15 am check-in for a 7:45 appointment at KOI (Kootenai Outpatient Imaging) on Thursday (basically in a day and a half). It caught me off guard because I have a child to drop off at school in another school zone (we moved but kept our child at the same school near our old house) as well as pick up our neighbors children who we brought to school every morning when we lived next to them and bring them to school. When I checked in, I explained the situation (not even mentioning the extra stop to pick up the neighbors kids) to the registration lady, Katrina (I think that was her name). She gave me the option of rescheduling, saying I probably would not be out of there until 8:15 at the latest, that the ultrasound (what I had been scheduled for) usually takes about 30 minutes, maybe a few minutes less depending on whether they were able to get images of what they needed easily or not. I asked if there was someone scheduled ahead of me and she said I was the first patient of the day. So I decided to just go through with it and save myself the time and energy to have to go back again. At that point Katrina offered to (after she completed the check in process) go back and see if the tech was there, and if they were, ask if we could start the process early to get me out sooner. I went and sat down and not even a few minutes later (I kid you not), the tech (Miranda) came out and called my name. I was in there no longer than 15 minutes. I was in and out. Granted I showed up on time, drank more than enough water, and she was able to find and scan what she needed to... I mean, when are you ever truly in and out of a medical visit!! Kudos kudos kudos to this team of professionals who totally made my day!!!

Staff is great! I went in for an MRI and they were so nice. I was in pants and a short sleeve gown it's kind of chilly in there so they offered to get me a warm blanket. I'm claustrophobic and I think this whole experience helped me get though it because everyone was so nice. The machine was one of the biggest I have been in as well! Overall great experience
