You can also redeem containers by count for 5 or 10 cents each. Up to fifty of each type per transaction. Let the scale attendant know you want redemption by count and do not place your materials in the bins for weighing.
The Berkeley Recycling center has a container buy-back program. Please know they only accept CRV containers (aluminum cans, plastic & glass bottles) for the buy-back and will assess payment based on weight (not individual items). Please see their website for buy-back rates. Thanks!
