Hi Tony, Since Kaplan House is intended as a short-stay inpatient hospice facility (equivalent to a hospital), most patients' care is covered by their insurance if they meet the eligibility of general inpatient (GIP) care set by the insurance company. In some instances, we also provide residential hospice care for a patient if they have no other suitable residence when space permits. In those cases, there is a private pay room and board charge that the patient will have to pay directly.
