He is not a CONTRACTOR. . .he is just a general manager. . Subs out all the work. . VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and INCOMPETENT. . John his project manager is just as bad. . .DO NOT HIRE. . spread the word. . He is just a scam artist.. . You need to get ahold of your local building department and forward them your information and job specs, my guess is Andy or John never pulled a permit and the work they sub out is all required to have a permit. . Your $3k I'm guessing was a down payment and you have a payment schedule set up. . READ IT CLOSELY. . . probably had him paid 80% before any real work is done. ."down payment, payment on order of materials, payment on delivery of materials, payment on start of work.. ." That's his normal, NO CONTRACTOR TAKES 80% BEFORE START OF JOB. . . report him to BBB, and your local building department, consider your $3k gone.. . CANCEL YOUR CONTACT. . .he will tell you stories about sueing you and putting a lien on your home. . .call his bluff, HE'S A SCAMMER
