You can get inexpensive fishing gear at some local stores. That way it is yours and you can use it next time. Just get a complete rod and reel set. Buy some tackle for the type of fish that you would like to catch. A medium sized hooks some basic tackle. Nightcrawlers are larger worms and may work better. Weights , bobbers, hooks, and bait are things that you may loose. Get a few more than you think you need. Save everything except the worms unless you are going tomorrow too! You can get some bait in jars , that can last until next time too.
You can only rent canoes, kayaks and paddle boats, not 100% on fishing gear but will say no.
Sorry I didn't do either of those things while I was there.
