There is a fee, and you can buy it right there before you get on it. They have little mp3 players with headphones that you listen to as you take the tour. The mp3 player knows when you enter each room and tells you exactly what you are seeing. A lot of the explanations on the mp3 player are THE ACTUAL VOICES of the men (crew) that were on the submarine!!! It's really cool and very, very humbling to hear the mens voices as you tour the sub!!! I actually thought I could kind of feel their presence during the tour as I heard them talk. It was so touching, enlightening and highly educational!!
