There is a lot more than just flight though. There's an artificial tidal pool. There's an exhibit on earthquakes, and you can ride an earthquake simulator while learning what to do during an earthquake and why certain ways of engineering are better than others. They have special exhibits, which have included the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Human Body, and the Science behind the Pixar Movies (absolutely amazing!). It's a very hands - on, interactive museum. It also has an IMAX theater with amazing educational movies that are so fun toy forget they're educational. Plus, if you have kids, they have all sorts of week-long summer classes or Saturday school year classes in fun subjects. When I was a kid 30 years my favorite classes were Math - magic and movie special effects, while my brother loved the model rocket class. We had so much fun we didn't know we were being educated! I call it learning by stealth! They have even cooler classes for all ages now! It's great for all ages!
Besides the space program and the permanent exhibit of the Endeavor Space Shuttle which is an extra fee, there's also information about the different ecosystems of the world as well climate and nature. There are also temporary exhibits like the Pixar exhibit and the Body World exhibit. Lots of cool things for the kids to touch and play with while learning about science at the same time!
Thanks for the information thanks
My grand kids ages 10 and 12 love going there .They even have a giant fish tank with touch areas where kids can actually touch many different sea life creatures. At certain times a diver will go in the tank and feed the fish.Really cool!! If your kids want to climb a rock wall they have that to.There is also a play area just for little kids to play.
