I don't see why you couldn't take any food or drinks. If you take in sealed containers you should be okay. There are some areas where you can sit and have a picnic under some shade of trees.

I brought in water bottles and Baby food and had no problem. There are outside tables so if you packed a lunch you could eat out there and I doubt anyone would saying anything.
