All blood donated at CHLA or in their mobile drive goes to their kids! They actually run low all the time and have to buy it from red cross.
Red cross is a business, they don't care. They make money for giving the blood to the patients who need it but give nothing to the people who donate. Avoid red cross either donate to your local hospital or go to a biomat. Trust red cross are scums of the earth.
The blood we donare to them on a regular basis (not just the mobile drives, as was correctly pointed out by another person) goes ro the kids ar CHLA. In fact each pint of blood may save up to three kids's lives! And yes, red cross is still providing a good service my making blood donated to them available to smaller centers, but if you want to make sure your blood goes directly to patients it is best to donate at a "small" place such as CHLA.
How much do they pay
