Scooters are not allowed at the skatepark. Some do it, but there is a clear sign. They typically don't take turns as well as the skaters.

I scooter (starting to skate) and there was this nice man who let me and my friend scoot after 6:00 because we came from Lafayette. Dont do what I did because they hate scooters, I got lucky.
