My understanding was there was to be no open fires outside the campfire pits located at each site. I was also there last week but am new to camping and may have misunderstood. Calling ahead sounds like a great suggestion or ask the ranger station who is on site for check-in between 2pm and 4pm. There are also camp hosts that may be able to give you guidance in each camping area. Hope this helps.... Happy camping!
Yes, in the campfire rings they have on each site. Was just there 1week ago, there were no fire restrictions at that time. You might want to call ahead.
