You are in One of the most incredibly amazing places.... no real need for them damn phones other then taking Kodak Moments!! Definitely want to document that!! I have Verizon, and I lost signal for about half of my hike, but it came back as I got back closer to the parking lot
I also have Verizon and I had excellent service throughout the walk
Service is spotty depending on how far into the park you go! At the base you should be fine.
Why on earth would you bring a cell phone??

There is coverage. Depends on your careier. I have Verizon and waljed the trail many timesand never lost service.
I had service on my phone most of the time, but there are some dead spots.
I rode around the woods on the train and most of the time I had service. Again depending on how far you are and phone service you have.
Service is pretty good. Only lost it when hiking amongst the tall trees
